Before starting Role Compatibility (RC) configuration your should read the [[documentation:rsbac_handbook:security_models:rc|RC description]].

There are several administration tools for RC:

| rc_get_item | Get role or type items |
| rc_set_item | Set role or type items |
| rc_copy_role | Copy complete role with all its rights |
| rc_copy_type | Copy complete type with all rights to it |
| rc_get_current_role | Get your current role |
| rc_get_eff_rights_fd | Get your current rights to filesystem object |
| rc_role_wrap | Start program with other role |
